On two Tuesdays in December, Port Huron’s Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting Parking Lot Bingo.
Participants will park their cars in the south parking lot of McMorran Place and pick up a bingo sheet. Numbers will be called by city employees, Police Chief Joseph Platzer, City Manager James Freed and Mayor Pauline Repp, and be broadcast over 90.1 FM.

The first person to get a bingo will honk their horn and will be given an opportunity to choose a prize.
“We are really trying to promote innovative ways for family fun and also ways to allow senior citizens to participate,” Freed said in an email.
Parking lot bingo will be held Tuesdays, Dec. 15 and 22, at 3:30 p.m. in the south parking lot of McMorran. The event is free and does not require registration.

Participants are asked to social distance and wear a mask while picking up their bingo cards, as well as bring their own dobber or other marking implement.
Other parks and rec offerings include Crafty Thursdays running through Dec. 17 on the department's Facebook page. Residents can tune in at 1 p.m. to join artist Cindy Badley make crafts using household items.
And on Wednesdays through Dec. 23, residents can stop by the Palmer Park Recreation Center to pick up holiday-themed arts and crafts projects. They are offered on a first-come-first-served basis while supplies last starting at 8 a.m.
